How Maya Beauty looks after the personal information you share with us.
Last updated: 6 October 2026
Maya Beauty (“Maya”, “we”, “us”) is a beauty salon at 79 High Street, Wimborne, Dorset BH21 1HS, run by Grace Robertson. We are the “data controller” for personal information collected through this website. If you have any questions about this policy or your information, phone us on 01202 159894 or send a message through our enquiry form.
Enquiry forms. When you send an enquiry through the website (a general enquiry, an Academy course enquiry, or a consultation enquiry with Rachel) we collect the details you type in: your name, email address, phone number, the treatment or course you are interested in, your preferred day or time, and any message you add. We use this only to reply to you, to arrange your appointment or course place, and to keep a record of the conversation. Our legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)), and our legitimate interest in running the business and answering enquiries (Article 6(1)(f)).
Please do not put health or other sensitive information in an enquiry form. If we need to know about your health, allergies or medical history to treat you safely, we will ask for it at your consultation or through our booking system.
Online bookings. When you press “Book Now” you are taken to our booking page, which is provided by Slick (getslick.com). Anything you enter there is handled by Slick and Maya under Slick’s own terms and privacy policy, not through this website.
Contacting us directly. If you phone or message us we will use your details to respond to you.
We do not sell your information. We use a small number of service providers who process information on our behalf:
Some of these providers may process information outside the UK. Where they do, they are expected to use appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or an approved adequacy arrangement.
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies and does not track you across other sites. If that changes we will update this policy and ask for your consent where required. Links to third-party sites (Instagram, Google, Slick) are governed by those sites’ own policies.
We keep enquiry information for as long as it is needed to deal with your enquiry and for up to 12 months afterwards, unless you go on to become a client, in which case your client record is kept for as long as is needed for your care, our insurance and our legal obligations. You can ask us to delete an enquiry earlier.
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to ask for it in a portable format. To use any of these rights, phone us on 01202 159894 or send a message through our enquiry form. We will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would always appreciate the chance to put things right first.
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
