I'm Rachel, a Registered Nurse, Independent Prescriber and NHS Advanced Clinical Practitioner. We'll look at what you'd like to improve, what is realistic and what feels right for you.

I qualified as a nurse in 2007, and my career has taken me from acute medicine to travelling the world as a cruise-ship nurse. I now work in the NHS as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner in cardiology, alongside my aesthetics clinic at Maya Beauty in Wimborne.
I'm an Independent Prescriber and completed my Master's degree at the University of Southampton in 2021. Careful assessment and explaining things clearly are a big part of my NHS work, and I bring the same approach to my clinic.
Teaching is another part of my working life. I support the development of healthcare professionals in the NHS and work as a clinical trainer in aesthetics. I enjoy helping people understand the reasons behind a treatment or a clinical decision, rather than simply learning the steps.
I've been interested in aesthetic nursing for many years and began my advanced aesthetics training in 2021. My practice includes dermal fillers, skin boosters, polynucleotides, bio stimulators, microneedling and chemical peels, alongside skincare advice.
I like subtle changes that suit the person in front of me. Sometimes that means a treatment; sometimes it means simplifying your skincare or leaving things alone. I'll explain what I think is worth considering, what it can realistically achieve and when I would advise against it.
You don't need to come in knowing what to book. Tell me what you've noticed, ask all the questions you need to and we'll take it from there.
You will have time to explain what you have noticed and what you would like to improve. You do not need to arrive knowing the name of a treatment.
I will explain the options that may be suitable, as well as the limitations. If I do not think treatment is appropriate, I will tell you.
Your medical history, medication, previous treatments and individual anatomy all form part of deciding what is safe and suitable.
I will make the treatment as comfortable as possible, talk you through each step and explain the possible after-effects and aftercare before you decide.

I'll explain what the appointment involves before we start, talk you through it and discuss any suitable numbing or comfort measures. You can ask questions or take a pause.
We'll also talk about recovery. Depending on the treatment, you may have redness, tenderness, bruising, swelling or peeling. I'll explain the expected after-effects, the less common risks and the signs that need prompt attention. You'll receive aftercare advice and details of how to contact me.

Start with a new client consultation. You do not need to know the treatment name or arrive with a fixed plan. Tell me what you have noticed and we can work through the sensible options together.
We will discuss your concerns, medical history, medication, previous treatment and what you would like to achieve. I will explain the options, possible downtime, aftercare and price before you decide what to do next.
No. A consultation gives you clear information and time to think. It does not commit you to treatment.
Everyone experiences treatment differently. I will make the appointment as comfortable as possible and explain suitable comfort measures for the treatment being considered.
It depends on the treatment, the area and your skin. Possible after-effects may include redness, tenderness, swelling, bruising, sensitivity or peeling. I will discuss the likely downtime before you decide so you can plan properly.
Please mention this when booking. Many elective treatments are postponed, and the advice depends on the treatment and your individual circumstances.
Yes. Please tell me about relevant medical conditions, allergies, medication and previous treatment. Never stop prescribed medication without advice from the person who prescribed it.
Yes, book a consultation. You can come in to talk about your skin and products without planning any injectable treatment. Bring a list or photographs of what you use and we can work out a routine that feels manageable.
That is always part of the conversation. We'll agree the changes you want and what you're comfortable with. My preference is for a subtle approach, so you look fresher, and still like you.
You will receive clear aftercare and contact details. If something does not feel right, please contact me rather than waiting and worrying. For a medical emergency, call 999.
If you are not sure what you need, start with a new client consultation. We will take it one step at a time, talk through your options and make a plan that feels right for you.
