Polynucleotides are an injectable option for selected concerns about skin texture and hydration. They may be considered for the face, eye area, neck and other suitable areas after an assessment. Any changes develop gradually, and I'll explain what is realistic for your skin before you decide.
These treatments contain purified chains of nucleotides. The product and protocol matter, and the clinical evidence is still developing. I'll explain the product being proposed and why I think it may be useful, rather than promising skin regeneration or a particular result.
Polynucleotides are long chains of nucleotides used in injectable skin treatments. They are designed to support the skin's natural repair processes and the activity of the cells involved in collagen and elastin production. The product and protocol used will be explained before treatment.
Depending on the area and product, polynucleotides may be considered for dehydrated or crepey skin, fine lines, uneven texture, under-eye concerns, neck and décolletage skin, selected body areas and some scalp or hair-loss concerns.
The current options include the eye area, face, neck, décolletage, tummy and selected scalp or hair-loss treatment. Suitability depends on assessment, your medical history and the result you are hoping for.
I will make the treatment as comfortable as possible and explain each step. A course may be recommended depending on the area and your aims. Temporary redness, tenderness, swelling or bruising can occur afterwards, and we will discuss the possible downtime and aftercare in depth before treatment.
Skin quality changes gradually and results vary between people. I will explain what is realistic for you, how the treatment plan is structured and when it would be sensible to review your progress.

What changes can polynucleotides help with?
They may be considered where the aim is to improve hydration, texture, elasticity or the general quality of the skin. I will explain what is realistic for the area being treated rather than promising a particular result.
When will I see a change?
Polynucleotides are not usually judged immediately after treatment. Any improvement develops over time, and the timescale depends on the area, the protocol and how your skin responds.
Will I need a course?
A course may be recommended depending on the area and your goals. I will explain the proposed plan, the cost and the reason for it before you decide.
Can polynucleotides be used around the eyes?
Some products are designed for delicate areas, but the eye area needs careful assessment. I will only recommend treatment if I believe it is appropriate for you.
Can they be used for hair loss?
They may be considered for selected scalp and hair-loss concerns, but hair loss can have many causes. I will ask about your history and may recommend medical assessment before treatment. No treatment can guarantee hair growth.
Every treatment starts with an honest, unhurried assessment. If you're not sure this is the right one for you, a new client consultation is a good place to begin instead.
